Crossroads Caring for Carers Dementia Support provide FREE training specifically for carers of people with memory problems or dementia living in Birmingham. Either in a group environment or one-to-one, we deliver up to date information to help you in your caring role.

Training Modules

We have a menu of eight different modules, which carers can pick and choose from to suit their individual caring journey –

  3. Behaviour and Carers Tips
  4. Validation Therapy
  5. Infection Control
  6. Eating and Drinking
  7. End of Life
  8. Dementia Presentation for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired (coming soon).

Coronavirus Pandemic

During the current coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic, we will be following government guidelines, so please note, face to face training is suspended until further notice.

Book your place on Zoom Group training

From 1st June we will be offering one-hour dementia training sessions each day Monday to Thursday, either by group video call (using Zoom) or individual phone calls.

There are ten spaces available on each Zoom session. Alternatively, the Trainer can go through the modules with you individually on a telephone call. Please speak to the Trainer to arrange date and time.
